Job Title: System Administrator
Location: Hybrid in Malta (Mriehel)
Reporting to the Information Security & IT Manager

The Role

We are seeking a Systems Administrator based in Malta to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for employees, ensuring they have the tools, support, and secure systems needed to work efficiently. From troubleshooting hardware and software problems to managing network infrastructure and enforcing security protocols, you will play a critical role in keeping our operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, applications, and hardware.
• Monitoring system performance and resource utilization.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Performing regular system updates and patches.
• Implementing and maintaining backup and recovery procedures.
• Managing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Configuring and maintaining network services (DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Monitoring network performance and security.
• Troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
• Creating and maintaining documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting.
• Keeping accurate records of hardware and software inventory.
• Manage smooth onboarding and offboarding, ensuring employees have the right equipment and support.
• Oversee email systems, keeping them secure and fully functional.
• Provide first-line technical support and escalate complex issues when needed.
• Implement and maintain antivirus solutions to protect company assets.
• Ensure company devices stay secure and compliant with control measures.
• Administer and manage third-party tools like GitHub and GitLab, ensuring proper access and security.
• Develop and deliver security training, focusing on phishing awareness and email threats.
• Enforce security protocols for company laptops, including access control and regular audits.

What You Bring

• At least 3 years of experience in IT support or administration preferably working for an iGaming Operator.
• Good understanding of Terraform for automating infrastructure.
• Experience with AWS cloud platform to support and optimize services.
• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
• Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
• Security expertise (firewalls, intrusion detection, vulnerability management).
• Proactive troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
